Zoe-perry
Perry was born to actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Her first roles on television were two times for the character Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on the ABC sitcom Roseanne The character was portrayed by her mom. However, her parents didn't want her to pursue acting until she became an adult and was worried about the impact of stress. Perry admits that she was not at ease in the stage during high school however, she began to perform as way to get acquainted with new students in Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry when she graduated from Boston University moved into New York in search of television roles. She landed small parts on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homelessness drove her to California in search of theater jobs. Perry's mother and I appeared on Broadway together with her in The Other Place, in 2013. Perry was in the show with her father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 with the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes of The Family, an ABC thriller The Family in 2016. Perry was a regular character as a character on ABC Drama about politics Scandal that starred her dad. The same year she was chosen to portray a younger version of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again playing a young version of Mary Cooper's character. Despite her family link to her character, she got the role through an audition.
